Structuring of GMI
WG 1 has developed a draft Charter and Structure document: GMI consists of the Platform (organizing body, including e.g. the Steering Committee and the Working Groups) and the Community Network (all individuals and organizations that subscribe to the GMI Website by filling in a profile). A first structuring of the GMI movement must aim to continue to minimize bureaucracy whilst maximizing the flexibility that has characterized GMI thus far. The draft will be discussed at the 6th Meeting on GMI. The Steering Committee encourages all GMI members to give input either at the meeting or by e-mail to
vdha@food.dtu.dk.

WG 4 – Ring trials and quality assurance
In July, WG 4 launched a survey to collect information from the GMI group for the upcoming proficiency test. By the deadline, 30 people had responded. WG4 would encourage all members of GMI to upload institutional data to take as many responses into account. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the survey. Responses are confidential and will be anonymized and collected in a report which will be made available to the GMI community.
