DTU is invited by the European Commission; DG SANCO – Health and Consumers, Unit G4 in the competence as European Union Reference Laboratory (EURL) on Antimicrobial Resistance to provide an introduction to the GMI initiative the 13th of September 2013 for the EURLs within the G4 Network.

The GMI Initiative and detection of AMR by use of Whole Genome Sequencing will be presented by Dr. Yvonne Agersø at the 5th meeting of the WHO advisory group on integrated surveillance of antimicrobial resistance 3-5 September 2013 at Bogotá, Columbia.

During the WHO Global Foodborne infections Network steering committee in Bogota, Columbia the 5-6th of September, Peter Evans from US-FDA (Center for Food Safety (CFSAN) will provide a presentation about the GMI initiative including deployment of Next Generation Sequence capacity to South America (FDA) and Tanzania (DTU).
