About the GMI Proficiency Test 2015

Sign-up for the GMI Proficiency Test 2015

This inter-laboratory performance test is provided to facilitate harmonization and standardization in whole genome sequencing and data analysis, with the aim to produce comparable data.

Working Group 4 of the Global Microbial Identifier (GMI) network is now opening the GMI proficiency test (PT) 2015 which covers next-generation sequencing with a focus on the analysis of Salmonella enterica, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

The PT represents an important tool for the evaluation and production of reliable laboratory results of consistently good quality within the area of DNA preparation, sequencing, and analysis (e.g. clustering).
